Use screw top, magnetic, covered caps and avoid the difficulty in crimping and de-crimping, standard, hard metal, crimp caps. Vials with improperly crimped caps can cause evaporation and data errors; to avoid these caps that are easy to apply correctly, every time.Pre-assembled with a magnetic gold cover over a Blue, 9-425mm, screw cap with a 1mm thick, non-slit, Silicone / PTFE Septa. These screw caps are designed for autosamplers that use a magnetic closure such as the or the Thermo TriPlus™ and can be used with any 9mm, BASIK™, MicroSolv™ AQ™ or RSA™ Brand, Screw Top, 12x32mm, autosampler Vial. Excellent for GC or Headspace analysis.

Pre-Slit Septa are normally recommended for Waters Alliance and Acquity instruments. X Shape Pre-Slit provides a greater target area for needles and are easier to penetrate but do not reseal as well as single slit septa.

Ultra-low Bleed Septa provide less extractables than most septa and is recommended for LCMS. The star shaped (*) slit offers a much greater target area for an autosampler needle to penetrate the septa and offers minimal resistance. It may not reseal as well as other Pre-Slit Septa.

This septa was designed for specific, older instruments such as Agilent 1050 and to provide extra cleaning when "wiping" a needle. Also provides a small degree of better resealing after injection compared to Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa.

Shaped, Butyl Rubber with Durometer of 50 Shore A, (hardness) and 3.0mm thick. Partially laminated with PTFE only on the light grey side of the Septa that faces the sample area. Butyl Rubber facing the glass vial provides a very good seal, due to its elasticity. Combining inertness of PTFE and elasticity of Butyl Rubber. This type of Septa is commonly known as Pharma-Fix™ and is temperature resistant from -40⁰ to 120⁰C. Clear lacquered Caps have score lines that will break open at 3.0 +/ 0.5 Bar, for safety. Glass Filled PTFE Locking Nut, 25.4mm. Grease-Free PTFE stirrer bearing designed for use in moderate vacuum applications. Bearing consists of a threaded glass adapter having a 45/50 inner joint, a saddle o-ring, a bushing with compression and locking nut, and a precision PTFE inner bearing. The saddle o-ring provides only glass and PTFE contact with the reaction, while allowing for the vacuum tight seal. Design of the bearing permits replacement of the saddle o-ring at a fraction of the cost of the entire bearing.
